Confidentiality notice

Last updated: October 2026
Awareness Services Pty Ltd (ACN 671 588 800, ABN 38 671 588 800)
This notice explains what “confidential” means when you book through Awareness Services. It sits beside the booking privacy notice.
Your booking is private
We treat your booking as confidential. We do not publish your name, your contact details, or the time of your appointment. We do not show your booking to other clients.
The people who can see a booking are:
- you
- the practitioner you selected
- Awareness Services staff who operate the booking system
The practitioner is an independent professional, not an employee of Awareness Services. What you discuss in the session is handled by that practitioner under their own professional and privacy duties. Awareness Services holds the booking record so the appointment can happen.
What we will not ask for here
The booking form asks for your name, email, and phone. It is not the place for clinical notes, a diagnosis, Medicare details, or an NDIS number. Share that information only with your practitioner, in the way they ask you to.
Joy, the AI guide on our website, is separate. Do not use Joy to send identifying clinical details. A conversation with Joy is not a counselling session and is not kept as part of your booking.
Limits of confidentiality
Confidentiality has limits. We or a practitioner may use or disclose information without consent where the law allows or requires it, including:
- where we reasonably believe it is necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to the life, health, or safety of any person, or to public health or safety
- where the law, a court, a tribunal, a subpoena, or a warrant requires it
- to meet mandatory reporting duties, including child protection
- where unlawful activity or serious misconduct is suspected
- to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim
If we believe there is a serious threat to your life, health, or safety and it is not reasonable to get your consent first, we may contact emergency services or a contact you have given us.
Payment and the service itself
The price shown is the practitioner’s fee. You pay the practitioner. This system does not take a card payment.
The service agreement is between you and the practitioner. Awareness Services provides the booking system. We do not promise a particular clinical outcome.
Children and representatives
A parent, guardian, or other authorised representative may book for a person under 18, consistent with our privacy policy. We may ask for evidence of that authority if a request is made about the booking later.
